5 Days Marangu Route Kilimanjaro Climb
Climb Mount Kilimanjaro through the famous Marangu Route, the only route offering comfortable mountain huts instead of tents. Perfect for climbers seeking an affordable and well-established Kilimanjaro trekking experience.
Tour Overview
The Marangu Route, often called the Coca-Cola Route, is the oldest and most established trail on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is considered one of the easiest routes due to its gradual ascent and direct path to the summit. Unlike other Kilimanjaro routes, Marangu is the only route that offers overnight accommodation in mountain huts equipped with beds, mattresses, pillows, communal dining halls, washrooms, and toilets. This makes it one of the most comfortable ways to climb Africa’s highest mountain. The route approaches Kilimanjaro from the southeast and passes through lush rainforest, moorland, alpine desert, and arctic summit zones before reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters. This itinerary includes 2 hotel nights in Moshi, professional mountain crew, emergency oxygen, park fees, meals, and all trekking support services provided by Okapi Expedition.
