This 5-day Tanzania private safari takes you through three of the country’s most spectacular wildlife destinations: Tarangire National Park, Serengeti National Park, and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Begin your journey with the giant baobab trees and large elephant herds of Tarangire, then continue to the endless plains of Serengeti, home to the Big Five and the Great Migration. The adventure concludes with a full-day game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s greatest natural wonders.

Day 0: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport – Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your Okapi Expedition driver-guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.

Relax after your journey and prepare for your exciting safari adventure.

Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is famous for its huge elephant population, giant baobab trees, and diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, and various bird species.

Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch before continuing your wildlife adventure throughout the afternoon. Later, proceed to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Karatu – Serengeti National Park (Half Game Drive)

After breakfast, depart from your lodge in Karatu and begin the journey towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Upon entering Serengeti, enjoy a half-day game drive across the endless plains while heading towards your camp, with chances to spot lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and other wildlife along the way.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park and continue with light game viewing en route to your accommodation. Arrive at your camp in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 3: Serengeti National Park (Full Game Drive)

Start your day with an early morning full game drive in central Serengeti National Park. The sunrise brings the savannah to life, and your guide will help track wildlife activity including predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as well as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes.

After an extensive morning game drive, return to your lodge/camp for relaxation, lunch, and rest. In the afternoon, enjoy optional short game viewing around the camp area before dinner and overnight.

• Time: 5 – 7 Hours (full morning game drive)

Day 4: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Game Drive – Karatu / Moshi

After an early breakfast, depart from Serengeti National Park and drive towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Explore the crater floor, home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and, with luck, the endangered black rhino.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater while taking in the spectacular scenery and abundant wildlife. In the afternoon, ascend from the crater and begin the drive to Karatu or Moshi for dinner and overnight.

• Time: 7 – 9 Hours, including the game drive

Day 5: Departure – Moshi / Arusha to Kilimanjaro Airport

After breakfast, enjoy some free time before your scheduled airport transfer.

Payment Policy

A deposit of 20% of the total safari cost is required to confirm the booking.

The remaining balance can be paid upon arrival in Tanzania.
