Traditional Coffee Tour

The Chagga ethnic group have a long history of producing coffee along the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Drinking Coffee has become a part and parcel of the Chagga local life. Most of the people like to drink coffee but have no idea how the coffee is being cultivated, processed from the bean to the cup. This tour will give you a detailed history of the coffee and by yourself you will dwell in a coffee farm where you will the pick red coffee cherries (if is the coffee season) and see how the coffee is cultivated before you join the locals who will show you how to process the coffee harvested from the bean until you have it in your cup in a locally way with motivational songs, so that you will never get tired and feel the part of the culture.

Most of the ingredients used are grown organically by the local farmers around Materuni village away from industrial fertilizers and chemical pesticides.
